A Cloudflare analysis showed that malicious bot traffic from Yandex networks simply moved to other Russian hosts after drone strikes hit Yandex data centers. Matt jokes that the operators had better high availability and disaster recovery than most businesses manage.
So what I'm hearing is they have properly configured their design for failure people running these bots and they have full HA and DR capabilities. And this is what every business should shy for. It just shows it's a business. If they're offline for minutes, it costs them X millions of dollars.
Yeah.
It's kind of sad, but kind of true. Right? Like, yeah, they did. Attackers have learned DevOps principles. Right. That's like they failed over. That's fantastic. They did what we all wish our companies were doing every day.
I don't even think it's that complicated. I think they just changed their outbound routes. Probably. Like they just figured out how to use a different gateway. I mean, yes. Ruined like you, but then they moved the computer somewhere else and then just ran out of trap a flip it to rant.
Tell how many companies have you seen in your career that could not pull that off?
I mean, is all an answer?
