Asked what AI looks like for a computer science student, Ryan Keane, a second-year student, says courses are shifting to exam-only grading.
Yeah, yeah.
So, Ryan, university, AI, what does this look like for you? I mean, we recently had a professor on talking about how he has to deal with the problems of students basically not programming anymore. They just use AI to do it. So, like, can you give us some insight from your perspective here?
Yeah, yeah. So, pretty much all of my classes like disallow using AI, which I think is like relatively common. But that doesn't stop most people, I would say. It's pretty easy to get away with it to generate, like, I don't know, like some latex or like code for homework and stuff like that. Um, so I'm seeing a lot more classes go away from actually like grading on your homework grades. Like, in my algo class right now, algorithms, it's like your entire grade is just tests, and the homeworks are just you have to do them, but they're not part of your grade because that's the only way to like verify anything now.
So, are we talking like handwritten tests in the classroom kind of scenario?
Yeah, like
in my day and your days, probably Jason.
