What They Said

“I am not optimistic for Sununu to win. I think he'll keep it closer than he probably should. He's a very well-known figure there. And Chris Pappas isn't a terrible candidate for the Democrats… but he's not dynamic. And I think Sununu has an outside chance.” — Stu Burguiere on Chris Pappas and John Sununu, Predictable with Stu Burguiere

Stu Burguiere, host of the prediction-market show Predictable, discusses polls and betting markets for the 2026 midterms, here on the New Hampshire Senate race between John Sununu and Chris Pappas.

We are getting really close to the midterm elections, and we've got a pollapalooza going on out there. Tons of polls are out. We'll look at the latest and see how they stack up against prediction markets. We have Steve Deace from Blaze TV on to talk about, uh, the on the ground view of what's going on in Iowa, one of the key races and one of my biggest positions, uh, in these, uh, midterms. We'll talk to him about that. Uh, and, uh, if we have time, I think we'll have time to get to a candidate countdown today as well. It's all coming up, uh, and so much more unpredictable with Stu. All right, here we go. Lots to get to today. If you are new to the prediction market world, I wanna tell you, we have a brand new video up at predictable101.com. It is our predictable 101 lesson six. we bring you through from the beginning of the process all the way to this one, which I think is, what is it? Limit orders? I think it's trade, how do you trade a limit order? You know, you might be like, I have no idea how to do…

“Alaska got the best possible candidate, which is Mary Peltola. She was a former congressman, but Alaska really likes her. … Peltola in a normal race would be, maybe in the toss-up, but a little bit, maybe even leaning D, but this could be a toss-up race. But add in the very weird system they have in Alaska, which is a top four system with ranked choice voting … I think Peltola is the slight favorite there.” — Stu Burguiere on Mary Peltola, Predictable with Stu Burguiere

Conservative commentator Stu Burguiere placed Alaska in the "lean Democrat" column in his Senate "gut check" on Predictable with Stu in mid-September 2026.

…I think right now. Uh, so there's gotta be two surprises in there for most people. Alaska. New Hampshire and Ohio. Now, I kind of, when I entered this exercise thought I would have, uh, I might have put a bunch of these into the the tossup area. I, I don't have them in the tossup area. I have them leaning Democrat and let me talk to you about why. Alaska first off is the weirdest one. Alaska got the best possible candidate, which is Mary Peltola. She was a former congressman, but Alaska really likes her. Um, and so she's the Democrat in that race. Sullivan, the Republican in that race, you know, he's a somewhat normal regular Republican but just doesn't have great approval ratings. He's suffering from the climate here, and I think Peltola is in a normal race would be. I would, you know, maybe in the tossup, but a little bit, maybe even leaning D, but this could be a tossup…

“They just got a really good candidate for that race in North Carolina. Roy Cooper, former governor, very popular there. And has led basically in every poll that I've seen. But if I didn't have any polling in that race, I would still think he was going to win it.” — Stu Burguiere on Roy Cooper, Predictable with Stu Burguiere

Conservative commentator Stu Burguiere went through every Senate race in a "gut check" ranking on Predictable with Stu in mid-September 2026, placing North Carolina in the "likely Democrat" column.

It's lots of fun, all the audio and none of the looking at me, which is great for many, many people. Um, my official, uh, kind of like Senate gut check today. We're going to look at it, at the Senate, at every single race, and put it in a column to try to see where we think it stands today. We'll be updating this throughout. The election season, but it's a great tool and a great idea to just be able to kind of get your mindset in the right place if you're looking at this for control of the Senate or if you're looking at it for prediction market profits. It's something you should do regardless. I'd love to hear your feedback on mine coming up. We have Dan Andros. He's gonna give me some feedback on it as well as help with our candidate countdown today and so much more. Make sure to join us at predictableshow.com or on YouTube…
