What They Said

“Growth really does hinge on your ability to question assumptions, reevaluate previous beliefs, face failures and mistakes head on and admit the failure. And if you have an AI that is just constantly sucking up to you and validating everything you already think and believe about yourself, in many ways that becomes antithetical to personal growth.” — Mark Manson, Conversations with Coleman

And it does give some good advice. And it can be very useful. But as we all know, ChatGPT likes to kiss your ass, likes to tell you everything, every idea you have is great. And every decision you made is brilliant and all those things. And I realized from like a personal growth perspective, that's really problematic, right? Like growth really does hinge on your ability to question assumptions, reevaluate previous beliefs, face failures and mistakes head on and admit the failure. And if you have an AI that is just constantly, you know, sucking up to you and validating everything you already think and believe about yourself, in many ways that becomes antithetical to personal growth. So I met my co-founder. My co-founder has been building AI…
