The Wine Centric Show · Food & Beverage · October 2026
The Champagne grower is passing on a test he says was one of the first things he and his brother were taught about judging a wine. It comes up while the host is asking about depth in wine.
Yeah, I don't know the exact quote, but I know for sure he said that because that's maybe one of the first things that he taught us with my brother.
Yeah.
That even if you know nothing about wine, just feel the ga if I feel the nerve, swallow your wine. And once you are done swallowing it, if something left, if you have depth, at least the guy is trying to do something. That's right. Because i if there is nothing left and it's short and cut, it means that it's it's water. I mean, there is no No points.
Whether you like a wine or you dislike a wine, I look I always tell people, judge it whether it's balanced and complex, and that's when you know it's a well-made wine, regardless of your own personal, you know, subjectivity.
Yeah, there is a depth, and it's true that there is a balance also, yes.
Yeah. Let's transition here to talk about your participation in La Fête du Champagne in both New York and Chicago coming up on October 14th through 17th, and then it goes through the following week in Chicago. Tell me, first of all, how many times have you been to La Fête de Champagne?
