Haugen describes her method for taking Facebook's internal documents: open them on the work laptop, close the camera slider, and photograph the screen with a clean phone that only ever connected to a clean laptop by cable.
I only ever connected those two together with like a physical cable. I only ever put files on things like thumb drives. And that meant that I knew that I had a closed ecosystem.
Now she had a system. Take the work laptop, open document, close the slider, take a picture with the clean phone, store on her clean laptop.
