Describing a meal at a new steakhouse in a downtown Las Vegas casino, the food writer explains what he likes: a classic, no-frills steakhouse menu run by a strong team.
…people fucking kidding? The El Cortez has free valet. What the hell is wrong with you? Are you sure? I'm like, I'll check. And yeah, it has a free fucking valet. And it's right there by the entrance to the steakhouse. So don't worry about parking. Okay, that's all I'm going to tell you. That's the
least of your problems. So
…from a steakhouse. Okay. If I'm remembering correctly, I think they had both Escargot and Oysters Rockefeller on the menu, which if you give me a steakhouse that does both of those on the menu, man, that's as old school throwback as I want to fucking get, and I love it. And I'm in. Yeah, so look, don't go here. You know, you're not going to confuse it with Bizarre Meat. You know what I mean? They're not doing bells and whistles and avant-garde, but it's a fantastic chef, a fantastic team. Love it. Free valet parking right there up in the front. So yeah, man, I would definitely check it out if I were you.
Fantastic.
And, you know, and it's nice to have a steakhouse down there because I like Barry's. Yeah. I like Barry's a lot. But Berry's is a special occasion steakhouse. You know what I mean? It just feels, it's a little more CNB scene kind of steakhouse. It's a little more fabulous. This is a little more…
my vibe. Yeah. Admittedly, and I've never pounded the street about it, but I've also not hidden the fact I'm not a Berry's fan.
