“by far the easiest harvest we've ever had. My dad is on his probably like 30, well, 33rd vintage. And he's never had such a simple. One because we usually get a lot of rain during harvest. … And so it's always a matter of like, is this going to rot? Are we going to be able to ripen it? How much crop are we going to lose? “the concept in biodynamics of like the closed loop system … your farm is supposed to be this closed loop where you produce all your own compost and you have your own livestock and biodiversity … as wonderful as that sounds, it's not really real. It's not practical in like the real world application.
