“Pennsylvania is probably the single most important swing state. You nominate a governor who's been elected statewide a couple of times, probably going to win re-election by a wide margin. That would only help you in that state.”

They likely will not. What do you have on this one, Jim?

Speaker 1

Sure.

Jim Geraghty

…conservative right of center guy hat and just think, like, if I were a Democrat, what would I want? And one of my crazier ideas is a ticket that would consist of John Ossoff, the senator from Georgia, and Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, for an all-Jewish Democratic ticket, really upsetting everybody who's upset about Gaza, but also just kind of recognizing that, like, you know, Pennsylvania is probably the single most important swing state. You nominate a governor who's been elected statewide a couple of times, probably going to win re-election by a wide margin. That would only help you in that state. And John Ossoff is probably going to win for the second time by a pretty solid margin in one of the seven most important states. And he's, you know, he's fairly young. It's a southern state, you know, like I'm just thinking strategically, this is a guy who you think we, and he says he's not interested. Now, of course, Barack Obama was on Meet the Press in like 2007 and said, oh, I'm not…

Speaker 1

And then like a couple months later, you announce you're running for president.

Jim Geraghty

So I don't know whether he thinks he's got a shot to be somebody's running mate or he genuinely does not want to run. But I just found it interesting. And I think if you're a Republican... If he really doesn't run, that takes off. That takes one of the more intriguing chess pieces.
